Have you ever been between pedicures and had a nail emergency? Or have you applied a fresh coat of your favorite color to your nails only to find pesky bubbles in the finish of your nail color? Well I know that I’ve certainly been in these predicaments and they can be quite annoying. I have a few tricks that will easily fix those bothersome nail color issues.
1. Is your nail polish thick or sticky? Try adding a few drops of nail polish remover to your nail polish bottle. It will thin out the polish and make it apply easier.
2. Did you or your manicurist get polish on your skin? Just wash your hands if or hop in the shower. The water will wash off the excess polish.
3. Have bubbles dried in your nail color finish? Well, bubbles can usually get in the finish because we shake our nail polish bottles. Instead of shaking the bottle to mix the color, try rolling the bottle between your palms. Another reason could be because you’re not letting your nail polish coats dry. So make sure that you let your coats dry thoroughly before applying additional coats.
4. Did you smudge your fresh coat of polish? Try moistening your fingertip with a little bit of nail polish remover and rubbing it gently over the smudge until it goes away.
5. Do you have a chipping problem? Make sure that you apply a base clear coat before applying the color and a top clear coat after applying the color. If you are still finding that you have chipping issues, reapply your color to the chipped area only. Wait for the polish to dry, then use my little trick from number 4 (above) to smooth out the unevenness. Then apply a top coat.
If you use these 5 tricks, you bound to get longevity out of your manicures and pedicures.
