Jason Wu for Target

Jason Wu for Target

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but Jason Wu is working on a new project. Who is Jason Wu?? Well his dresses have only draped the bodies of Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Emma Stone, Diane Kruger, Zoe Saldana, Sandra Bullock…I could go on, but I don’t want to bore you. Who knew when he released his first collection in 2006 that he would be such a prestigious and coveted designer whose dresses sell for thousands of dollars?

Well Jason Wu is among tons to share their expensive wear with the masses. He plans to do that through Target of course. His collection for Target hits stores on February 5. This is another one that I can’t wait to see. Let’s hope that this collection doesn’t sell out on the first day like the Missoni for Target collection did. That would be a shame.

Anyway, I’ve managed to find the commercial for his collection. Based off of what I’ve seen in the commercial and several lookbooks, this is one collection to be excited about.

Valentino is by far one of the most interesting designers out there. His cutting edge designs make me want at least one of his pieces in my closet. Unfortunately, I can’t afford anything from that outrageously priced designer…unless I ever find a piece on super-duper sale or in a vintage shop. The bow peep-toe pumps above are no exception…they’re $900 for Pete’s sake. But as long as people are out there making similar pairs for less, I’ll be there!! This look for less is only $39. When you first see the price of the Jessica Simpson two-tone pumps, you will probably think the same thing that I did…that $98 isn’t expensive at all, especially when you compare it to most of my Looks for Less. But what if I told you that I could get you these pumps for half the price? Surely you’d think that the heavens were smiling down on you, right?? Well I found the pumps below for only $44.95. Now that I think about it, this is more than half the price of the Jessica Simpson pumps :) . Click on either image to shop.

Kate Moss in Balmain Leather Lapel Jacket

Kate Moss in Balmain Leather Lapel Jacket

Kate Moss has been photographed over and over again in her Balmain leather lapel blazer. As a matter of fact, it was a challenge to find a photo of her without it on. At first glance, I wouldn’t think that this blazer was one that anyone could wear over and over again, but Kate Moss has made it a versatile and vital piece of her wardrobe. And who could blame her…that jacket is bad!! But at $1400 dollars, what person that’s not making a supermodel’s salary could afford it?? I liked it so much that I set out to find it for a LOT less than $1400. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t find an exact replica of her jacket but I found a few comparable looks.
