Kate Moss in Balmain Leather Lapel Jacket
Kate Moss has been photographed over and over again in her Balmain leather lapel blazer. As a matter of fact, it was a challenge to find a photo of her without it on. At first glance, I wouldn’t think that this blazer was one that anyone could wear over and over again, but Kate Moss has made it a versatile and vital piece of her wardrobe. And who could blame her…that jacket is bad!! But at $1400 dollars, what person that’s not making a supermodel’s salary could afford it?? I liked it so much that I set out to find it for a LOT less than $1400. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t find an exact replica of her jacket but I found a few comparable looks. Jennifer Aniston got off a plane and arrived at her destination looking great. She paired a $2000 Balmain blazer with a pair of boyfriend jeans and clean white sneakers. Even casual looks look great on her. Ever since Friends (one of my favorite TV shows of all time) I have loved Jennifer’s style. But I would never pay the amounts that she pays for her wardrobe. Balmain was really onto something when he designed these buckle-embellished boots. I mean, they are stylishly fabulous. But who can afford to pay $1600 for some boots…I’m not made of money, nor do I know anyone who is. So I set out to find something fashionably comparable, but reasonable priced. And wouldn’t you know, I did…I mean, that is what I do after all. I was able to find two pairs of boots inspired by Balmain’s design for $49.99 and $287.95 (below). I’d pay $49.99, or even $287.95, any day over $1600…wouldn’t you?

Legendary designer, Giuseppe Zanotti, teamed up with renowned designer, Balmain, to create this zipper bootie…all to be able to sell it to you for $1,495. That’s ridiculous!! Report teamed up with no one to create this Giuseppe Zanotti/Balmain inspired for $121. I’d much rather have the booties made Report.

Balmain Sandals can cost over $1000!! That’s a lot of cash to drop on one pair of sandals. I was able to find a similar pair of sandals by Steve Madden for $129.95.
