Kate Moss in Balmain Leather Lapel Jacket
Kate Moss has been photographed over and over again in her Balmain leather lapel blazer. As a matter of fact, it was a challenge to find a photo of her without it on. At first glance, I wouldn’t think that this blazer was one that anyone could wear over and over again, but Kate Moss has made it a versatile and vital piece of her wardrobe. And who could blame her…that jacket is bad!! But at $1400 dollars, what person that’s not making a supermodel’s salary could afford it?? I liked it so much that I set out to find it for a LOT less than $1400. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t find an exact replica of her jacket but I found a few comparable looks. Kate Moss plays with many different looks. Sometimes shes goes “rocker-chic”, sometimes she might go with an elegant look, and sometimes she’ll go with a sexy look. The look she chose for the Spring 2011 Christian Dior runway show is very sexy and chic. I love it so much that I wanted to find it for less. Leather skirts can cost as much as $750…sometimes more!! Leather ain’t cheap (Mom, please forgive my grammar…lol)!! I know because I’ve spent countless hours searching for affordable, decent looking, quality, stylish leather and it’s quite a task.
Kate Moss seems to have found a leather piece that’s a staple in her closet…I’m referring to the $1860 Isabel Marant leather pants that she absolutely loves. But she’s really getting her money’s worth out of them as much as she wears them. I wanted you to be able to get your money’s worth too, but I didn’t want items that cost so much. See my finds below.
