Do you remember when I told you about the Mulberry for Target handbag collection? Well if you are as anxious to see the upcoming line as I am, you don’t have to wait until October 10. Now you can see it a little early.
Fortunately for us enthusiastic shoppers, Gilt Groupe will be selling the handbags online starting at noon on August 20 for a limited time. Gilt is a site that you will need a membership to shop. But don’t worry…membership is absolutely free. And to make things even easier for you, click here for your invitation code.

It seems that it’s quite trendy these days to go “recession chic”, as I like to call it. And I guess it’s no surprise to you all that Target is teaming up with yet another high-end, top designer to produce a wallet friendly fashion line. This time Target’s teammate of choice is William Rast. William Rast co-founders Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala apparently thought it wise to share their normally expensive clothing line with the masses.
The clothing line is expected to be out from December 19, 2010 – January 22, 2011. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. Some items from the William Rast for Target might mirror some of William Rast’s items like the ones below. If you’re interested in buying any William Rast stuff before it hits Target, feel free to shop by clicking the items below.
Ruffled Leather Jacket, $475
Lace-Up Blazer, $270
Twist Back Tank, $55
Scarlet Shorts, $169
Chinos, $88
Slouch Jeans, $185

Juicy Couture is one of those brands that don’t always need to cost so much in my opinion. Unfortunately, they don’t know that. Take the denim dress above for instance. Juicy Couture wants us to pay $178 for that dress, but I found it at Target for $39.99 (below). The dress from Target looks almost exactly like the dress made by Juicy Couture, so I would definitely choose the less expensive dress over the expensive one.

Target does it again. This time they’re teaming with one of my all time favorite designer brands, Dolce Vita. I absolutely love this brand because it is affordable, reputable and very trendy.
The collection was originally thought to be sold only at the Harlem Target, but I just found out that you don’t have to go all the way to New York to grab a pair. Currently the collection is only being sold online but is scheduled to launch in stores August 22, 2010. (To shop the collection, click here.) Below are some pieces from Dolce Vita for Target’s collection. The collection is very versatile…they included boots, oxfords and flats in the collection. The price range for the collection is between $30-$35, which will make this collection a favorite in my book.
Studded Oxford Flats in grey ($29.99), Buckle Ankle Boots in black ($34.99), Lace-Up Boots in black and brown ($34.99), Studded Ballet Flats ($29.99; in black, gold and pewter), and Oxford Flats in black ($29.99).

Robert Rodriguez has given us some great, timeless pieces over the years. From his clothing to his jewelry…he and his design team are truly innovative. But his prices are eye sores. The sequin tank above for instance is $290. Ouch!! Fortunately for us budget shopaholics I know how to find great looks for less. I happened across a sequin tank at
Target that looks almost like the one Mr. Rodriguez wants us to pay so much for…and it’s only $17.99 (below). (To purchase, click on either image.)
