Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson in Calypso St. Barth
Calypso St. Barth is bringing their high-end bohemian chic style to Target. I couldn’t be more excited. You normally have to go to a special Calypso St. Barth boutique in order to find the high-end brand. And when you finally find the sparsely placed boutique, you’ll definitely notice the $300 – $700 price tags. But this collaboration with Target is bringing Calypso St. Barth to budget-conscious shoppers like us! With prices ranging from $14.99 – $39.99, Target and Calypso St. Barth seem to be very concerned with the downward spiral of the economy. Yay for Target and Calypso St. Barth!!
When you compare the Target collaboration with the original, you can see that Calypso St. Barth didn’t stray too far from their usual designs. I can’t wait to check out the actual line in person to see the quality. Hopefully it will be all that I anticipated. The line will be in stores starting May 1. I know I’ll be there. It’s not often that I’m pleased with celebrities, but I am today!! Twice in two weeks I’ve found financially blessed people in budget-friendly clothing. This time I found Nicky Hilton, heiress to the Hilton hotel empire and mega-millionaire, in a dress that retails at Target for only $19.99. Wow!! Of course she paired her dress with a $1500 Balenciaga handbag, but the Target dress is a step in the right direction. It’s seldom that I come across a look and look for less by that’s manufactured by the same designer. But get this (that’s right, it gets even more strange), I found another pair that was made by Target. What am I talking about? Well I found these wedges by Dolce Vita for $159 (above). Then I found the wedges by DV by Dolce Vita for $89 (first pair below). But then I found the same look at Target for only $29.99. You can hardly tell the difference between the three, so why not save the most mullah possible and get the pair from Target. Click on either image to shop.

Target is celebrating 5 years of GO International by releasing a limited edition collection of past designers’ dresses. The collection features 34 dresses from 17 past GO International designers including Proenza Schouler (by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez), Luella Bartley, Tucker (by Gaby Basora), Paul & Joe (by Sophie Albou), Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk (by Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk), Rogan (by Rogan Gregory), Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Tara Jarmon, Thakoon (by Thakoon Panichgul), Tracy Feith, Rodarte (by Laura and Kate Mulleavy), Behnaz Sarafpour, Libertine (by Johnson Hartig), and Zac Posen. Prices range from $24.99 to $44.99 and the GO International Designer Collection will be available from March 13 through April 10, 2011 at most Target stores. You already know that I’ll be there first thing on March 13!
