Valentino is by far one of the most interesting designers out there. His cutting edge designs make me want at least one of his pieces in my closet. Unfortunately, I can’t afford anything from that outrageously priced designer…unless I ever find a piece on super-duper sale or in a vintage shop. The bow peep-toe pumps above are no exception…they’re $900 for Pete’s sake. But as long as people are out there making similar pairs for less, I’ll be there!! This look for less is only $39. Valentino is great for designing legendary handbags. They jumped on the denim accessory trends and designed the denim petale tote above. It’s very trendy, but the problem is that it costs $1695. Last week I told you where to find
Valentino lace peep-toe booties for less. Well I found another pair for less and these are less than all of the other booties that I found. So if you’re really into lace, this update is for you.
Just to give you a little history, the pair above costs $1045, the 1st pair below (by Via Spiga) costs $250, and the 2nd pair below (by Betsy Johnson) costs $149.95. Let me ask you a few questions. Who out there is really into lace? Who out there would happily wear lacey peep-toe booties? If the answer is you then you’ll love this look for less. I found the Valentino lace peep-toe booties above for $1045. I was blown away when I saw that price because I just knew that Valentino had lost their minds!! But then I came across a similar pair for $250 by Via Spiga (below – 1st pair). Then I came across an even more reasonably priced pair by Betsy Johnson for $149.95 (below – 2nd pair). The Valentino sandals above are sharp!! I absolutely love them. They are ideal cross-over sandals, meaning that they can be worn for a formal event, a semi-formal event, or a casual event. But there’s no reason that you should have to pay $447.50 for a cross-over sandal. I found a similar sandal for a fraction of the cost of the Valentino sandal. It’s made by Jessica Bennett and can be found at Nordstrom for $119.95…that’s a lot better than paying nearly $450.00!!
